Brain Repair Centre
The Brain Repair Centre (BRC) is a
research collaboration linking world-class experts
in the field of brain repair, dedicated to disorders
such as Parkinson's, Huntington's, Alzheimer's, amyotrophic
lateral sclerosis (ALS), multiple sclerosis, serious
mental illness, stroke, epilepsy, vision dysfunction,
traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cancer
and chronic pain.

The Canadian Center for Vaccinology
The Canadian Center for Vaccinology (CCfV) is an integrated collaborative multidisciplinary vaccine research team committed to excellent research. CCfV unites the biomedical and clinical sciences with the social sciences and humanities to effectively span the research continuum from basic discovery to translation into useful vaccines to prevent disease in humans and to change population and public health outcomes.

Canadian
Resident Matching Service (CaRMS)
The
Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS) is a
not-for-profit, fee-for-service corporation that
works in close cooperation with medical schools
and students to provide a computer match for entry
into postgraduate medical training. CaRMS provides
an orderly way for applicants to decide where to
train and for program directors to decide which
applicants they wish to enrol in postgraduate medical
training.

Canadian
Federation of Medical Students
The CFMS is the national medical student organization
of Canada. Run by and for students, it represents
13 schools coast to coast with over 8,000 members.

Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR)
The
nature of modern health research is changing and
the questions being posed are more challenging
than ever before. Health Research now spans a wide
variety of disciplines, representing a range of
perspectives and approaches. CIHR is a direct response
to these challenges. It is based on a new integrative
approach to health research that focuses on understanding
the underlying determinants of health and disease.
CIHR, which replaces the Medical Research Council
of Canada, will link researchers across a broad
spectrum of disciplines, sharing knowledge and
working toward common goals.

Canadian Institute for Health Information CIHI
is a federally chartered but independent, not-for-profit
organization. Institute core functions are identifying
health information needs and priorities; collecting,
processing and maintaining data for a comprehensive
and growing number of health databases and registries,
covering health human resources, health services
and health expenditures; setting national standards
for financial, statistical and clinical data as
well as standards for health informatics/telematics;
and producing and disseminating value-added analysis.

Medical Research Foundation (DMRF)
The
Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation is a vehicle
which provides individuals the opportunity to fulfil
their wishes to support local medical research.

Foundation, support medical research undertaken
in the Faculty of Medicine at Dalhousie University.

Nova
Scotia Health Research Foundation
The
mandate of the NSHRF is to:
- Foster health research throughout the province
by assisting, collaborating with and funding
individuals and organizations conducting health
research;
- study matters consistent with the priorities
identified by health boards, government, institutions
and individuals and report its findings to the
minister; and
- increase public knowledge and awareness of
the foundation and its benefits.
