Dalhousie Medical School needs volunteers to help educate tomorrow’s health care practitioners. Can you help?
VOLUNTEER PATIENT PROGRAM
Sex: Male or female
Age: 18 and over
Health status: You can be completely healthy or have pre-existing medical conditions.
Time: Sessions are on Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings throughout the academic year (October – April). Depending on your schedule, you can volunteer for one or more sessions.
Halifax Location: Dalhousie Medical School’s Learning Resource Centre (1256 Barrington Street, the Sir John Thompson Building)
Saint John Location: Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick (100 Tucker Park Road)
What to expect: A pair of first-year Dalhousie medical students will practise taking your medical history and/or perform a non-invasive physical exam under the direction of their tutor, a fully-licensed physician. There is no preparation – you just have to show up at the appointed time.
